The CM2020 is now Cellphone-mate's most powerfull dual band amplifier. It can significantly improve cellphone and data signal strength for almost all North American cell phone carriers. They took the power of their new 70 db 800Mhz amplifier and their 65 dB 1900Mhz amplifier and combined them into one box. 

Before the CM2020 was developed, the only way to get a 65 db dual band booster was by taking two single band amplifiers  and combining them. This was more expensive and also more complicated to install. It was also more difficult to diagnose problems since there were more different components involved. The CM2020 really simplifies things and also works more efficiently than the old approach. They also improved it so that it has a running temperature 20 degrees cooler than the previous versions, preventing it from over-heating.

Cellphone-mate's competitor, Wilson Electronics, does not have an amplifier of this class at present time. Wilson's most powerfull dual band solution is only 62db and is not designed for commercial installations. For those customers that prefer Wilson amplifiers we are still combining two 65db single band amplifiers as mentioned above since they don't carry a 65 db dual band amplifier at present time.

The maximum coverage area of this amplifier is 100,000 square feet but it depends on a number of factors like the outside signal strength and other evironmental conditions. Each inside antenna is designed to cover around 6,000 square feet, but with a splitter multiple inside antennas can be setup to maximize the coverage area.

In our experience, we have had a number of cases where one inside antenna was enough to cover a whole warehouse. So we usually recommend first installing the basic kit with one antenna and then purchasing the splitter and additional antennas if necessary.

The unit is also equipped with reconfigurable dip switches to switch between levels of amplification. This helps to prevent overload and oscillation. To prevent interference and noise the outside antenna and inside antenna should be seperated by at least 75 feet. But, even without the seperation, the amplifier can still be used by lowering the power using the dip switch.

This kit also includes two LMR400 cables, one 100 feet and the other 50 feet. It also includes an external dual band yagi antenna and a wall mounted inside antenna. We have a variety of antennas available and would be happy to customize this kit for you.
