The 304203 antenna is an NMO antenna. Even though it may be used for all bands, it is recommended to be used with a nextel/Iden band. For NMO dual band antennas, see the 

301101 and the 301104.

A hole needs to be drilled on the roof of the truck. The width of the hole needs to be either 3/4" for the 901102 or 5/8" for the 901103. Metal ground plane minimum of 8" diameter is required.
